Setup a Static IP address in Windows XP
This section will describe how to setup your connection for a Static IP in Windows XP. A static IP is an IP Address that does not change.
1. First click on your Start Button and then click on your "Control Panel"

2. Next Double-Click on "Network Connections"

3. Find your "Local Area Connection" and right-click drop down the "Properties and left-click on it.

4. This will bring you to your "Properties" Window. Look for TCP/IP and double click on it.

5. Enter the Static IP Address information provided to you by your ISP.

6. Click "Ok" and then "Ok" again and close your "Network Connections" window and your done.
