My Internet connection is not working and the dsl light on the modem is blinking. What should i try?

Hello Angela, When your DSL light blinks it means your modem is searching for a signal, Try rebooting the modem and wait until it boots, if the DSL light does not stay solid, check to make sure it is plugged in firmly and if you have any splitters or DSL filters on the line remove them. I was looking at my line and I was using a phone splitter for my fax machine, I took it off and plugged the phone line to the modem directly into the wall and it works now, do you think it was the splitter causing the problem?
