Configuring Outlook Express to leave messages on the server
This section describes how to configure Outlook Express to leave messages on the server once they are downloaded. This is useful if you are checking your email using POP from different computers the default behavior of Outlook Express is to delte them once they are downloaded.
1. First Open Outlook Express and Click on "Tools" and then "Accounts".
2. Next Select the "Mail" tab and you will see your account listed, Double-click on it"
3. This will show you the "Properties" window for you email account.
4. Select the "Advanced" tab and you will see an option under "Delivery" to "Leave a copy of messages on the server" Select this option.
5. Note: You will also want to select the option below this to remove messages from the serer after a specified number of days to prevent messages from being left on the server indefinitely and filling up your email inbox.
6. Click on "Ok" and then "Close" and you are done.
